Lake Asbury held its 2nd annual Christmas parade today. There were more than twice as many participants this year as last year. It was quite an event for our little, but growing community.
On behalf of the parade coordinators; Clay County Fire Department, I photographed almost 50 participating groups both before and during the parade. We marched through Lake Asbury along Sandridge and Henley Roads from Lake Asbury Jr. High to the Glen Haven recreation area. Everyone looked amazing and I caught tons of smiles. Thanks to everyone who waved and smiled when they saw my camera aimed their way! And special kudos to everyone for braving our unexpected heat wave today - gosh, it was hot!
This evening I followed the Clay County Firemen once again as they held their annual "Evening Christmas Parade" through Flemming Island. I caught Santa handing out candy to the kids at Eagle Harbor Swim Club, where he was a very popular firefighter! Thanks again for the laughs, guys!
